| This short introduction to Glasgow will cover a panoramic tour of
the City Centre, including the River Clyde, the historic Cathedral and Merchant City, the
Georgian grandeur of Blythswood Square, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the University Campus.
We drive through the Clyde Tunnel to Pollok Park and stop to visit the Burrell Art

| We travel to Edinburgh past
historica Linlithgow, where we can see over to Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary
Queen of Scots. On the outskirts of Edinburgh, we will enjoy morning coffee and
shortbread in the shadow of the magnificent Forth Bridges before a panoramic look at the
sweeping Georgian terraces and crescents of the New Town, followed by an interior visit to
Edinburgh Castle. After lunch the remainder of the afternoon is free for shopping
and/or independent sightseeing in teh closes and synds of the historic old town. |

Glasgow we travel along the banks of the river Clyde to Helensburgh and then by way of
scenic Glen Fruin to Loch Lomond and on to Tarbet, Arrochar and then over the Rest and be
Thankful mountain pass and along the shores of Loch Fyne to Inveraray. We'll have a visit
to Inveraray Castle, the home of the Duke of Argyll. After lunch we follow the shores of
Loch Eck and the Holy Loch to Dunoon where we catch a ferry for the short but scenic sail
to Gourock, then back to Glasgow |

and through Dunblane to the fair city of Perth. On the outskirts of Perth we stop at
Scone Palace, home to the Earls of Mansfield and ancient coronation site of Scottish
kings. After a tour of the Palace and it's extensive grounds we will continue into
the heart of the city for lunch. There will be free time for shopping and/or
independent sightseeing before returning, view the pleasant market town of Crieff, to
Glasgow. |

Glasgow we travel northwards to the historic town of Stirling. Once a favorite residence
of Scottish Kings and Queens, Stirling Castle is also the birthplace of James II in 1430.
We will have a guided tour of the magnificent castle with its Great Hall, the Gatehouse of
James IV, the marvelous palace of James V, the Chapel Royal and the 16th and 18th
century artillery fortifications. |
