Overview

This half day course will include a talk on each major pediatric subspecialty (with the exception of pediatric neuroradiology which is covered in the neuroradiology session). These talks are designed to emphasize differences and challenges that come with the developing pediatric body and the emerging role of advanced techniques in pediatric radiology.


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Describe changes that occur with development that make pediatric MR imaging a challenge.
Explain some unique manifestations of diseases in the pediatric age group.
Assess the current and emerging role of advanced MR imaging techniques in pediatrics.

This course is designed for:
• A wide audience including Ph.D.'s and M.D.'s with experience in either adult or pediatric imaging.
