OVERVIEW
This 1.5 hour course is designed to demonstrate the current/traditional (morphology-based) methods as well as novel methods for tumor response assessment. Speakers will describe:
« How we currently utilize CT and MRI to assess treatment response;
« How the novel methods based on diffusion and perfusion imaging can be utilized to improve the assessment of tumor response; and
« The role of whole body MRI in oncology.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
« Evaluate the current/traditional methods of tumor response based on CT and MRI;
« Implement novel methods to assess tumor response based on diffusion and perfusion;
« Apply new knowledge to optimize MRI in assessment of tumor response clinically; and
« Describe the role of whole body MRI in oncology.
