OVERVIEW
In this two-hour course the faculty will consist mostly of radiologists with extensive experience in imaging of the musculoskeletal system. The course will focus on cartilage repair, as well as the post-operative shoulder and knee. It will guide the audience through all clinically relevant aspects of postoperative imaging of the musculoskeletal system, including a discussion of imaging protocols, the normal postoperative MR appearance as well as imaging of postoperative complications.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
« Inform patients and referring physicians with regard to safety and possible limitations of image quality after MSK surgery;
« Select and tailor MR protocols according to clinical needs;
« Reduce imaging artifacts;
« Describe imaging artifacts and differentiate them from relevant findings; and
« Recognize postoperative findings and differentiate them from clinically relevant findings.
