Online Abstract Submission Guidelines

Primary Review Category
1000 (Pulse Sequences & Reconstruction)
& Category 1100 (Engineering) ONLY

Abstract Submission Deadline:
23:59 EST/20:59 PST 09 November 2011

This year, on a trial basis,  we will be accepting submission of abstracts in .pdf format in primary review categories 1000 (Pulse Sequences & Reconstruction) and 1100 (Engineering) ONLY.

Submitting abstracts in .pdf format is an option for these categories; it is not required!

We understand that the online conversion of .doc or .rtf to .pdf format on our submission site occasionally results in errors to the converted abstracts.  Please follow the guidelines below to create your document using the software of your choice, then convert the file to .pdf format and upload the .pdf format file.  If you have any issues converting your file to .pdf format, please upload your abstract as a .doc or .rtf.

To facilitate the blinded peer review process and to ensure that abstracts are properly formatted, please follow these instructions, which are supplemental to the instructions at the upload web site.

  • The uploaded file should contain only the body of the abstract (NO TITLE, AUTHORS, AFFILIATIONS, OR SYNOPSIS), all of which are captured in data entry fields at the upload site.

  • The text should be formatted in one column across the page (see sample on left below).

  • In order to achieve a proper conversion of your abstract to its final form, please use a template that is 8.5" (21.5 cm) wide x 11" (28 cm) high with a 1.25 cm (top), 1.25 cm (bottom) (you must leave 5.0 cm blank at the bottom of the page to allow for the title and author insertion) and 1.25 cm (left) and 1.25 cm (right) margin.   Please also use standard fonts such as Arial, Times, or Times New Roman.  The font size should be 8pt or larger.

  • After uploading your .pdf abstract, you will not be able to view your abstract with the title and authors inserted online!
