OVERVIEW
This two-hour course will focus on current MR techniques as well as novel high-resolution MR methods used in evaluation of the ankle and forefoot. Specific lectures will address in detail:
Protocol and evaluation of the ankle joint;
Evaluation of the forefoot; and
High-resolution methods for small parts imaging.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Design appropriate protocols for the ankle, forefoot and small parts;
Recognize common ankle ligament and tendon pathology; and
Recognize common pathology in the forefoot.
 
AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
These courses are aimed at radiologists, MR technologists and clinical support scientists who wish to incorporate the use of MRI into their practice and to know how evolving MRI techniques can aid in clinical problem-solving in the musculoskeletal system and impact individualized patient care.
