OVERVIEW
In this 2-hour course is a part of the Clinical Intensive Neuro Course. Physician speakers will give an overview of the advances in head and neck imaging and discuss how MRI findings can be used as biomarkers for following head and neck tumors and treatment. The use and value of advanced imaging techniques in the region will be discussed. Four talks will cover:
MRI of the neck: What pulse sequences to use;
MRI in pulsitile tinnitus;
Diffusion Imaging in head and neck cancer; and
DCE Imaging in head and neck cancer.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Describe state-of-the-art MRI techniques (including MR perfusion and MR diffusion imaging) for imaging patients with head and neck tumors;
Explain the possible use of MRI findings as biomarkers for treatment response in head and neck tumors; and
Select appropriate imaging techniques in clinical situations for the diagnosis and management of head and neck tumors.

AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for physicians who are interested in learning more about or updating their knowledge of MR imaging of head and neck tumors for their daily routine practice of neuroradiology.
