SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced
ORGANIZERS: Richard Kijowski, M.D., William B. Morrison, M.D. & Ravinder Regatte, Ph.D.
Wednesday, 14 May 2014

OVERVIEW
This 3 course series will provide an in-depth discussion of advanced MRI techniques in musculoskeletal imaging including dynamic MRI, fat-water separation, and high field strength MRI. For each topic, the lectures will review the technical aspects of the advanced MRI technology and discuss applications of the novel imaging methods in clinical practice and research studies. The course is intended to bridge the gap between basic science research and patient care.

TARGET AUDIENCE
“Advanced MRI Techniques in Musculoskeletal Imaging with Clinical Applications” is directed at clinicians interested in learning about advanced MRI techniques used to evaluate musculoskeletal diseases and basic science researchers seeking to enhance their knowledge on potential clinical applications of novel MRI technology.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the technical aspects of advanced MRI methods in musculoskeletal imaging; and
  • Apply advanced musculoskeletal MRI methods in clinical practice and research studies.
