OVERVIEW
The course will provide an in-depth discussion of the use of conventional and emerging MRI techniques for evaluating bone tumors. The lectures will review the MRI findings of common bone tumors and diffuse bone marrow diseases and discuss the challenging task of using MRI for distinguishing between benign and malignant bone tumors. The lectures will also describe emerging MRI techniques for evaluating bone tumors.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
“Bone Tumor Imaging” is designed for radiologists and clinical care providers who wish to update, refien their knowledge or implement new skills necessary for the use of MRI for evaluating bone tumors.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize emerging techniques for evaluating bone tumors;
  • Apply MRI for evaluating common bone tumors and diffuse bone marrow diseases; and
  • Distinguish between benign and malignant bone tumors on MRI.
