Joint Annual Meeting ISMRM-ESMRMB 2014 10-16 May 2014 Milan, Italy

WEEKDAY EDUCATIONAL COURSE
Vascular MRI: Clinical Challenges
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
ORGANIZERS: Daniel B. Ennis, Ph.D. & Victor A. Ferrari, M.D.
Wednesday, 14 May 2014

OVERVIEW
This six-hours course over three days will present cardiovascular MRI beyond the established protocols for cardiac and vascular MRI as well as imaging at higher field strength.

The Wednesday session will cover vascular MRI in terms of optimizing contrast agent application, use of non contrast enhanced techniques and vessel wall imaging.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This 3-part coursed is designed to appeal to researchers and clinicians with at least basic knowledge in cardiac MRI. The content of the course is appropriate for radiologists, cardiologists and basic researchers.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate the different available techniques into clinical practice;
  • Recognize 4D flow imaging as a clinical imaging tool;
  • Recognize the value of vessel wall imaging; and
  • Appropriately use contrast and non-contrast enhanced MRA techniques.
