SUNRISE EDUCATIONAL COURSE
4D-flow: Ready for Primetime?
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced
ORGANIZERS: Daniel B. Ennis, Ph.D. & Harald Kramer, M.D.
Wednesday, 03 June 2015

OVERVIEW
This session will describe the protocols, data processing, and clinical benefits of four-dimensional (4D) phase-contrast MRI (PC-MRI). Attendees with a working knowledge of PC-MRI will gain valuable insight about the practical implementation and use of 4D PC-MRI.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Attendees with a basic understanding of PC-MRI who are keen to adopt the most advanced methods for evaluating flow in their patients. The session will describe the details of acquiring and post-processing the data, then using it to improve patient care.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Attendees will be able to understand how to acquire 4D PC-MRI data;
  • Attendees will know how to implement a suitable 4D PC-MRI protocol for clinical studies; and
  • Attendees will understand how to analyze the data and apply the results to patient care.
