OVERVIEW
This course will explore the use of MR techniques in the assessment of CNS infection in two distinct, but overlapping, areas, namely North America compared with Asia. This course will describe the spectrum of the MR changes seen in intracranial infections, and the added value of multiparametric MR.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
Medical physicists and clinicians involved in the evaluation and care of CNS infections.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Illustrate the spectrum of bacterial, fungal and viral infections in North American practice;
  • Illustrate the spectrum of bacterial, fungal and viral infections in Asian practice; and
  • Demonstrate the added value of multiprametric MR in the evaluation of infective intracranial lesions.
