Overview
This course will provide an in depth discussion of clinical imaging of muscle diseases including inflammatory, infectious, metabolic, genetic and impingement.

Target Audience
Radiologists, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons and clinical care providers who will benefit from detailed knowledge on the use of MRI for evaluating muscle diseases.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
• Recognize the role of sports injury and trauma in the pathogenesis of muscle diseases;
• Classify muscle disease into various etiologies including inflammatory, infectious, metabolic and genetic with clinical examples; and
• Distinguish between different muscle atrophy patterns to determine the etiology, provide prognostic information, and guide therapy.
