Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

• Explain the basic physical principles underlying MR angiography techniques, with an emphasis on contrast-enhanced methodologies;
• Perform abdominal, peripheral, coronary, pulmonary, thoracic aorta, carotid, and intracranial MRA;
• Analyze and interpret MR angiography studies;
• Recommend appropriate MR angiography techniques for different situations;
• Describe the range of pathology that can be evaluated by MR angiography;
• Compare new contrast agents being developed for MR angiography.
