Dear ISMRM Colleagues:
The ISMRM 11th
Scientific Meeting and Exhibition in Toronto, Canada is just a few weeks
away, and now is a good time for an update.
The SPC and the ISMRM Office staff have worked hard to
revise and update the meeting program for the new dates in July. The vast
majority of our 800 plus original speakers have been able to present on the
new dates and the few gaps have been filled. We have an outstanding program,
with record-breaking depth, for July 10-16. Details are now available on the
website, and the personal itinerary builder has been fully updated.
Attendees will enjoy excellent social events, including a closing gala in
the CN Tower.
There was an excellent response to the call for "Late
breaking MR" papers. These have been reviewed and as a result, we have added
two additional oral sessions where you will be able to hear about some of
the very latest ideas and innovations in medical magnetic resonance.
The situation in Toronto continues to settle, with no
evidence of community spread of SARS, or new cases. In the interests of
members, we are continuing to provide links to current information via the
Q&A section on the website and we encourage you to review the authoritative
factual data provided there, if you or your institution have any ongoing
concerns.
We would like to thank you for your support and for
the overwhelmingly positive input we have received from the Society
membership. We are also grateful to our major sponsors who have also
demonstrated their commitment to the Society by supporting the July program
and meeting. Please browse the new program on the website and we look
forward to joining you for a full, productive and exciting Annual Meeting,
July 10-16.
