Postdoctoral Fellow in Cellular and Molecular MRI

Applications are invited to fill a Postdoctoral position with a research focus on the development and application of cellular and MRI technology for cancer and stem cell tracking. The position will fit into a growing program in cellular and molecular MRI at Robarts Cellular and Molecular Imaging Program ( www.imaging.robarts.ca/RCMIP ), involving UWO Departments of Medical Biophysics, Chemistry, as well as the London Regional Cancer Program in partnership with the Ontario Institute for Cancer research.

Our departmental website ( www.uwo.ca/biophysics ) describes our research-intensive environment involving over 90 graduate students and 60 principal investigators from the University and its affiliated research institutes - the Lawson Health Research Institute and Robarts Research Institute. Robarts houses state-of-the-art MRI facilities at 1.5T, 3T, 7T and 9.4T (animal).

The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
1) High resolution in vivo preclinical MRI

2) Cell culture, labeling and/or tracking with magnetic nanoparticles
3) Testing new contrast agents for cellular MRI The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Chemistry, or related areas.
