MRI Technologist

The Department of Radiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking candidates for a Research/Clinical MR Technologist position at the new MRI center. The new MRI center includes a 3T Phillip MRI system for human and animal research, clinical support space, as well as laboratory and office space. In addition to routine clinical scanning, specific areas of research include, but are not limited to, fMRI, cardiac MRI, Hyperpolarized Gas MRI, and MR spectroscopy. This individual will assume overall responsibility for routine scanning, implementing new protocols, technical operations, including consultation with users on MR protocols, data analysis, data storage, and daily maintenance.

The successful candidate will have the following requirements:

  • Academic degree in science related field
  • MR technologist license
  • Minimum 4 years experience with Philips MRI system
  • Experience with pediatric MRI is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks are essential.
