Post Doctoral MR Physicist in Vessel Wall Imaging

ACADEMIC-RELATED RESEARCH STAFF GRADE 7:
Salary £27,466 - £33,780 p.a. ($54k-$66k)

A post-doctoral research appointment is available in the MR Physics Group at the Oxford University Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain (FMRIB), based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The position is supported by a grant from the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre. It is funded from October 1st
2008 for up to two years to support work seeking to improve the ability of magnetic resonance imaging to achieve information on the presence of atherosclerotic plaque in carotid artery wall. The post would be ideally suited to someone with previous experience as an MR physicist working on neuro- or vascular imaging. The work will be conducted using the University of Oxford’s 3 Tesla human MRI systems, including the Oxford Acute

Vascular Imaging Centre’s forthcoming 3 Tesla scanner and integral X-ray angio suite.
