The Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley in conjunction with Advanced MRI Technologies, LLC in Sebastopol, CA, wishes to fill a Postdoctoral Position in MR Physics and neurosciences for research in neurosciences. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in MR, experience with pulse sequence design and the application of MR to imaging brain function, experience in C++ and Siemens software. Current research efforts include 3D single-shot pulse sequences, 3D ASL, diffusion imaging, DSI, and high spatial and temporal resolution fMRI. Current work is being conducted at 1.5T and 3T scanners at UC Berkeley and AMRIT, and sequence development for 7T off site. The 3 T at UC Berkeley includes 32 Rx channels and 32 channel head coil. The appointment will be made for a period of 2 years, starting immediately, with the possibility of an extension dependent upon the availability of further funding.
