Weill Cornell Medical College Cornell University Post-doctoral Fellowship Position Radiology Advanced Imaging Laboratory

The newly created Weill Cornell Radiology Advanced Imaging Laboratory, located in New York City, has a two-year Post-doctoral fellow position available immediately. Our lab is developing computational methods for analysis and quantification of medical imaging data (CT and MRI) for clinical service, disease diagnosis as well as basic research. The lab has scientists from the fields of computer science, electrical engineering and radiology.
The candidate will work under the direction of Dr. Ashish Raj on advanced algorithms for accelerated MR imaging, using tools like graph theory, Bayesian estimation and optimization. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Advanced research degree (PhD or equivalent) in electrical engineering, statistics, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, biomedical engineering or related fields.
Strong interest in algorithm development and signal processing, especially in:
  o medical image analysis
  o optimization theory, graph theory
  o MRI image processing
Experience in software development and tools such as:
  o C++
  o MatLab
  o ITK/Freesurfer/EMS
Experience with MRI acquisition, processing or image segmentation.
