A post-doctoral research position in MR
physics / sequence programming is available immediately in the MRI
Laboratory at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of
Hawaii, Honolulu, HI. The successful candidate will be working as part
of a multi-disciplinary group on an NIH-funded study to develop advanced
MR imaging and spectroscopy techniques.
Facility and equipment:
The MRI laboratory is equipped with a state-of-the art whole-body 3T
Siemens Trio scanner with high-performance gradients, 32 receiver
channels, and several high-power workstations for image processing. The
MRI Laboratory currently has several faculty-level scientists, staff and
post-doctoral fellows that work on advanced MRI techniques.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have a Ph.D. in physics, biomedical
engineering, or a related field, with first-hand experience in MR
physics, pulse sequence programming (ideally on a Siemens system), and
computer programming. Candidates should be highly motivated and
interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment.
