The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, NC, USA is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill a post-doctoral fellow position in the field of MR acquisition and reconstruction.

The center is equipped with a 3T Siemens head only Allegra system and a whole body Siemens TIM Trio system. A whole body MR-PET scanner has been purchased and will be installed in the near future. The successful candidate will be working on MR methodological development for parallel imaging. Abundant collaborative resources and opportunities exist throughout the UNC campus, including interactions with numerous investigators in the BRIC, Radiology, Psyhchiatry, Neurology, and Physchology. The successful candidate is expected to work on projects related to the development of novel pulse sequences and image reconstruction algorithms in structural, DTI and functional imaging of children. He/she will be encouraged to develop independent research directions.

Potential applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in physics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent fields.
Candidates with solid background in MR physics, signal detection and processing theory, and pulse sequence development are highly desirable.
Past experience with Siemens platform is preferred. Proficiency in C++ and MATLAB is desired. EOE.
