The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBSU) is an
internationally renowned research institute with state-of-the-art
cognitive neuroscience facilities. A fixed term (11.5 month) Research Scientist position is available in our MR Physics Group that works in close collaboration with the Cambridge neuroscience community. Areas of current interest include: - High-resolution fMRI based on 2D and 3D acquisition schemes - Real time fMRI and adaptive imaging techniques - Quiet imaging techniques for auditory fMRI - Multi-parameter structural MRI for automated image segmentation - Theoretical modelling of the BOLD sensitivity - Diffusion tensor imaging You will have a PhD in physics, engineering or a related field, with a strong background in MRI. Experience with C-programming, Matlab, and Siemens software (IDEA, ICE) is desirable but not a prerequisite. The salary will be in the range of £25,622 - £31,358 depending on experience, supported by a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days annual leave entitlement, and an optional MRC final salary Pension Scheme.
