SMRT/BAMRR Joint Annual Meeting

An Invitation to Attend the 10th Annual Meeting of the Section for Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT) and the 17th Annual Meeting of the British Association of MR Radiographers (BAMRR)

On behalf of the program committee of the SMRT and BAMRR, we extend a special invitation for Technologists/Radiographers to join us in Glasgow, Scotland, for a combination of MR Education and Scottish Hospitality.

The program will include a variety of topics to enhance your knowledge in the field of Magnetic Resonance. As a team, SMRT and BAMRR join as "Partners Promoting Quality Education."

The meeting will commence with a Poster Exhibit and Walking Tour with Reception on Friday evening, 20 April 2001 at 18:30 sponsored by Mallinckrodt. This provides attendees the opportunity to discuss cutting edge research and clinical applications of MRI/S. One will be able to meet the authors as well as interact and network with other MR professionals.

On Saturday during the business meeting, awards will be given to the most outstanding papers and posters submitted in both the clinical and research arenas.

During Sunday’s lunch, an expert panel from the US and UK will present MR Safety updates and solutions to common safety problems. Ample opportunity will be given for interaction with the audience.

We encourage all Technologists/Radiographers to submit an abstract addressing scientific research or clinical applications for presentation. Enclosed, you will find information pertaining to the submittal of abstracts.

The deadline for abstract submittal is 8 January 2001. For the first time, electronic submission will also be accepted.

The two-day agenda will be submitted for 12 Category A credits, pending approval by the ASRT.

We invite you to attend and participate in this partnership of quality MR education in Glasgow. The Scots are well known for their spirit and hospitality.

We hope to see you there!
