Annual Meeting Update

The Program and Educational Committees would like to invite MR Technologist and Radiographers from around the world to attend the SMRT 20th Annual Meeting: Celebrating 20 Years of MR Educational Excellence 7 – 8 May 2011. This meeting is held in conjunction with the ISMRM Annual Meeting at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, 201 Viger Avenue West, Montréal, and Québec, Canada. We will start off Friday evening with the Poster Awards Presentation. The Poster Award recipients; including First, Second and Third Place in both Clinical and Research categories will give a short presentation. You will have the opportunity to leisurely view the poster exhibits. There will also be time to meet your peers from both clinical and research centers from around the world.

This year’s program includes a diverse range of topics including Cardiac, Body, MSK, Physics and Technology, advanced Neuro Imaging, fMRI, Spectroscopy, MR Conditional pacemakers, NSF updates, MRI guided focused Ultrasound and Safety updates. These opportune subjects will be addressed by speakers from around the world. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful Radiologists, Scientists, Physicists and Technologists willing to share their time and knowledge to speak and help each of us become better Technologists/Radiographers. The SMRT Business meeting will be held Saturday before lunch and all attendees are encouraged to attend. The authors of the top scoring abstracts will present oral presentations during the program.The highest scored abstract will receive the President’s Award. First, Second and Third Place awards in both Clinical and Research- Focused presentations will also be awarded.

We would also like for you to join us for the SMRT/ISMRM Joint Forum on Monday at 14:00. This forum is included in your SMRT Annual meeting registration fee. This year’s topic is “Implementation and Development of Guidelines for the Use of Diffusion Tensor Imaging in Routine Clinical Practice

If you choice to attend the ISMRM Annual meeting 9-12 May, for an additional fee, several courses will also offer Continuing Educational credits.
