Surrounded by snow-frosted Rocky Mountain peaks; secluded next to a
legendary lake; showcased by a majestic glacier; a world away from ordinary
resorts. Nestled deep within Banff National Park, The Fairmont Chateau Lake
Louise has been chosen as the site of the ISMRM Course on MR Physics and
Techniques for Clinicians, 11-15 February 2007.
Only a two hours drive west from Calgary, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise,
known as “the Diamond in the Wilderness,” is enveloped by some of the most
breathtaking scenery in the world and is located within UNESCO World
Heritage Site Rocky Mountain Parks. The sheer beauty of the glistening
glaciers, remote ice fields, snowcapped peaks and crystal-clear lakes create
a dramatic setting of unparalleled mystique. Renowned as one of the largest
mountain ski areas in North America and one of the best alpine skiing
regions in the world, Lake Louise offers other outdoor activities including
hiking, climbing and canoeing.
