TRAVEL AWARDS

The workshop organizers welcome applicants for travel awards that will support the attendance of students, clinical trainees, post-doctoral fellows within 3 years of obtaining a Ph.D., and junior research staff (technologist or research assistant) within 3 years of obtaining a higher degree. Priority will be given to applicants who are first authors on abstracts selected for presentation, but this is not a requirement. An award level of $300 is anticipated, to support travel and registration.

Application requirements:

1) A signed letter requesting support that includes a statement indicating how this workshop may benefit the applicant’s current or future research or training.

2) The applicant’s curriculum vitae.

3) A signed letter from the applicant’s supervisor confirming the applicant’s eligibility for a student award. The letter should also address financial need and whether requests for support are being made for more than one member of the same group.

4) A copy of the applicant’s workshop abstract (if submitted).
