Surrounded by hundreds of kilometers of shoreline, national parks and historic sites, the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour are synonymous with Australia’s most famous city. The ISMRM Workshop on Osteoarthritis Imaging will be held at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay. The hotel is approximately 8 miles from the airport. The hotel does not offer shuttle service though there are independent shuttle service providers at the airport. Here are several options for transportation to the meeting site.

Sydney Airport (SYD)
Transportation from the airport can be found starting at the T1 International and T2/T3 terminals. Within these terminals you will find access to taxi, train, shuttle service and Uber.

Taxi
Taxis are available at specific locations outside the Sydney Airport. Drivers are required to accept all fares, small or large, from the airport. The curbside management team will help you and your driver with this request. Please review the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 maps for taxi pick up locations at the Sydney Airport.

Please note that taxis are not permitted to pick up passengers away from a taxi rank and drivers can be fined $5,000 AUD for breaking the regulation. The approximate cost for this journey is $55.00 AUD (one way, per taxi).

Train
Airport Link is a fast and convenient way to reach the center of Sydney. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes.

Begin at the Sydney Airport Domestic or Airport International Train Station. At either of these Airport Stations, purchase a train ticket to Circular Quay Station for $17.50 AUD. Then go to Platform 1. All trains from Platform 1 go to Circular Quay Station. Stay on the train until you reach Circular Quay Station.

Take the Alfred Street exit towards Pitt Street and then turn left onto Pitt Street. You will then arrive at Sydney Harbour Marriott, 30 Pitt St., Sydney. It is approximately a 5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel.
