Transportation

Saint-Malo, located on the Emerald Coast North of the region of Brittany, can be reached directly by train, ferry, or car.  Visitors flying overseas may land in Paris (at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport or Orly Airport) or in London.  Passengers disembarking at either of the two airports in Paris may choose among the following options::

1)  Take an Air France bus or taxi to the Montparnasse train station in Paris and then a train connection to Rennes and then Saint-Malo (over 12 daily connections to Rennes);

2)  Fly to Rennes Saint Jacques Airport on British Airways (3 daily flights from Orly, 2 from Roissy) and then connect to Saint-Malo by train or taxi;

3)  Rent a car (see road information below). 

4)  From Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, travelers may also take one of three daily TGV (high speed train) trips directly from Roissy Airport to Rennes (3 hours), and then connect to Saint-Malo (less than 1 hour).  For train information and reservations call +1 (33) (1) 45-82-50-50 or +1 (33) (8) 36-35-35-35.  Note:  Reservations for TGV are mandatory.

By car it is a four-hour trip from Paris to Saint-Malo.  When leaving Paris, take the Motoway A10 towards Chartres.  Follow signs for Rennes, then Saint-Malo.  Note:   Tolls on "Autoroutes" can be paid with cash or credit.
