The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM)
is pleased to offer online abstract submission for the Joint Annual Meeting ISMRM-ESMRMB
to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, 21-27 April 2001. The ISMRM has contracted with Community
of Science (COS) to provide this service.
This year it will not be necessary to submit a
paper form as well. |
This Web-based system
offers you the ability to compose abstracts securely and collaboratively with colleagues
throughout the world, simplifying the authoring and submission process. We have built into
this powerful database our full-page, two-column abstract specifications in order to
provide you with the same amount of space to which you have been accustomed. It is no
longer necessary to deal with formatting your abstract; this system will take care of it!
As a result, both the CD-ROM and print volumes of the Proceedings will be typeset
with images displayed at their highest quality, yet retaining our full-page, two-column
abstract format.
You can:
Create abstract drafts
collaboratively over multiple sessions;
"Copy" text from a word processing document and
"paste" it in a text box;
Use table, figure, and special character options to
augment abstract text;
Access step-by-step instructions, including special
"hints & tips," to assist in abstract composition.
In addition, the abstract submission system offers its
users the following:
A personal itinerary
builder, which allows the authors to plan their personal conference schedule, including a
time conflict feature which identifies scheduling conflicts;
Access to COS's
Funding Opportunities database, which is the most comprehensive source of funding
information available on the Web, with more than 18,000 awards, representing 2 billion
dollars, from around the world. This database is updated daily.
Although the COS
system is entirely Web based and can be accessed using almost any platform or browser
type, we recommend that Mac users access the system using Netscape. PC users can use
either Internet Explorer or Netscape.
We recommend, for optimal performance, the use of a T1,
DSL, or cable modem connection to the internet.
