Last
updated 05 May 2009
The deadline for submitting
E-posters is 15 March 2006. This deadline will be strictly enforced! |

An electronic
poster (e-poster) is a poster in PowerPoint format, allowing the
inclusion of movies, sounds, and other multi-media formats.
Presenters are encouraged to take advantage of the versatility of this
medium.
There are two formats for e-poster presentations:
1. E-Poster Discussion Sessions (in regular
session rooms)
2. E-Poster Computer Sessions (in Exhibition Hall
4A next to the Technical Exhibition). |

E-Poster Computer Sessions
(Exhibition Hall 4A)
|
Computer E-Posters will be presented at
monitors located in Exhibition Hall 4A of the Washington State
Convention & Trade Center. Your e-poster has been assigned
to a particular monitor. E-poster presentations are 30
minutes in length.
The e-poster presentation will be similar to a traditional
poster presentation. The information that formerly was seen on
the 1m X 1m posterboard is now contained on six slides, with the
advantage being the ability to include video, audio, etc in
slides (up to the 10 MB limit for the entire presentation).
At the start of the 30 minute presentation, it is suggested to
have a title slide on the screen, with the necessary
introductory information. (There is no need to take up space
with authors, as they will be listed on an index screen, which
will be visible at all times the monitor is not actively being
used .) Then as viewers talk to you about the abstract, you
could move on to the other slides, as needed.
Attendees who view the poster at all times throughout the
meeting will be able to see the six slides, plus whatever other
features they contain.
If you have been informed that you are a candidate for a Poster
Award, you will be expected to be present at your assigned
monitor during the Monday poster session, in addition to your
regular assigned session.
E-posters must be loaded in advance of the
meeting. Please send your poster to ISMRM by 15 March 2006.
If your presentation is not sent by
15 March 2006, it will
not be available for viewing. Please send your
presentation to:
E-poster@ismrm.org
When you arrive in Seattle and receive your Program Book, please
verify your program number in case there have been last minute
changes. |
Please adhere to the following guidelines when you submit your E-poster:
- Because E-posters are viewed on a computer
screen, they consist of individual PowerPoint slides viewed
consecutively. Each E-poster is limited to a maximum of six
(6) PowerPoint slides, each of which may not exceed 8 1/2" by 11" or A4.
|
- E-posters must be submitted in PowerPoint
format. Any version of PowerPoint is allowed. PC's
will be used for E-poster display.
|
- Multi-media files are limited to Quicktime, MPEG,
AVI, or WMV formats.
|
- The maximum file size for an E-poster
(including multi-media files) is 10 megabytes.
|
- Authors will not be able to edit
the title and/or author information for the E-poster format
before or during the meeting. The ability to edit or
replace files will not be available onsite in Seattle.
