The ISMRM is excited to present this inaugural
CME course intended for radiologists and other medical
professionals who are interested in increasing their clinical
knowledge for interpretation of MR imaging of the
musculoskeletal system, body and breast.
This course will run concurrently with the annual ISMRM meeting
sessions and will incorporate some of the didactic and poster
material from that meeting along with exclusive additional
lectures for registrants. Through a series of lectures,
exhibits, panels, case reviews, and interactions with the
faculty, attendees will be updated on practical and
state-of-the–art aspects of MR imaging including anatomy,
pathology and technical factors and innovations. There will
also be the opportunity to earn even more CME credits by
attending ISMRM Annual Meeting lectures on hot topics such as
nephrogenic systemic fibrosis, unmet needs of MRI in various
areas, and application of the newest hardware, coils and
sequences in the field. Registrants will have time during and
after the course to review scientific posters and to attend the
wide array of other sessions of the main ISMRM meeting, or just
simply to relax on the beach.
Upon completion of the course, registrants should be able to
1. Use optimized protocols for imaging the musculoskeletal
system, body, and breast
2. Describe anatomy, normal variants and pitfalls in MRI of the
body and musculoskeletal system
3. Diagnose pathology on MRIs of the musculoskeletal system,
body and breast
4. Utilize recent updates in the field of MRI; and
5. Describe current MRI approaches for a large variety of
abnormalities and pathological conditions in the musculoskeletal
system, body and breast.
