This interactive two-hour course will utilize an audience response system. Topics include bladder tumors, ovarian lesion characterization, ovarian cancer staging and follow-up after treatment, and pregnant patients. Lectures will address how to utilize MR imaging to:
assess bladder tumors;
characterize adnexal lesions;
stage ovarian cancer and evaluate the treatment response and detect recurrence; and
apply MRI to meet the diagnostic challenges of pregnant patients.
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Apply basic MRI sequences to characterize adnexal lesions;
Describe the role of MRI in staging and treatment of bladder tumors;
Explain how MRI can be utilized in ovarian cancer for staging, treatment response, and the detection of recurrence; and
Define the role of MRI in pregnant patients to optimally address diagnostic and management challenges.
