SUNRISE EDUCATIONAL COURSE
Whole Body MRI
ORGANIZERS: Roland Bammer, Ph.D. & Harald Kramer, M.D.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate

OVERVIEW
This 4-hour course will cover the entire field of whole body MRI – from basic requirements and setup to screening and staging as well as upcoming applications. Physicists and M.D.’s will give presentations on dedicated topics with the possibility of discussion in the end of every presentation. The goal of this course is to enable participants to define hardware needs for whole body MRI, to set up a whole body MRI protocol, as well as to discover different applications of whole body MRI.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
List hardware requirements for whole body MRI;
Design whole body imaging protocols;
Describe the pros and cons of whole body PET-CT, MRI and MR PET;
Select the correct imaging modality for different clinical questions;
Apply different protocols for whole body MRI; and
Describe new applications for whole body MRI.

AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for radiologists, physicists, industry representatives, residents and advanced technologists.
