OVERVIEW
This 2-hour course is a part of the Clinical Intensive Neuro Course and will focus on novel new clinical spine and spinal cord imaging. Physicians and MR physicists will speak on:
Diagnostic value of the loaded spine exam;
Current 0.6 T Fonar systems and their limitations;
High-field spine imaging; and
Novel techniques in spine imaging.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Describe the diagnostic value of the loaded spine exam;
Evaluate the difficulties and limitations of current loaded spine MR systems;
Explain the benefits and limitations of high-field spine imaging; and
Describe several novel, new techniques available to better image the spine.
 
AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for physicians who are interested in learning more about or updating their knowledge of spine MRI for their daily routine practice of neuroradiology.
