OVERVIEW
This two-hour course will focus on the use of MR imaging in nutrition and nutrition related diseases. Radiological expert speakers will cover:
The technical challenges regarding imaging in nutrition and give insight into new methods to assess the functional aspects of the nutrition related diseases; and
Pediatric and adult specific changes in nutrition related circumstances and diseases.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Explain, describe and diagnose nutrition-related imaging findings;
Select the appropriate imaging protocols or procedures to best define nutrition related changes in MRI;
Assess and describe nutrition-related diseases in the pediatric population; and
Assess nutrition-related diseases in the adult population.
 
AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for scientists and clinicians who are working or starting to work in the field of MR neuroimaging and who would like to have an extensive overview of the scientific and technical underpinnings of these techniques with a special focus on nutrition-specific imaging findings.
