This two-hour course will focus on current MR techniques as well as novel quantitative MR methods used in evaluation of the pediatric patient. Specific lectures will address in detail how to:
Design a robust pediatric body MRI protocol;
Measure renal function;
Evaluate children with inflammatory bowel; and
Quantify iron.
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Design and apply body pediatric MRI protocols, including those for renal function evaluation and iron quantification; and
Explain the added value of MRI in evaluation of inflammatory bowel disease in children.
This course is designed for radiologists, MR technologists and clinical support scientists who wish to improve the use of MRI in their practice and to know how evolving MRI techniques can aid in clinical problem solving in the body and impact individual patient care.
