OVERVIEW |
In this one day
course, the speakers will be both physicians and physicists. The
course will cover the clinical applications of new and advanced MR
imaging techniques in:
Clinical Spinal
Cord Imaging |

Mass lesions – tumor vs. tumor-like diseases; |
|
|
Comatose emergencies beyond; |
|
|
Hypoxia, hypoglycemia and hyperammonemia; and |

Toxic encephalopathy. |

Clinical Imaging of Brain Masses |

Tumor and tumor Mimics; |
|
|
Tumor subtyping; |
|
|
Brain Tumor microstructure; |
|

Post-treatment follow up; and |

High-field experience. |

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
|
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

Describe traumatic changes in the spinal cord and
the vertebra; |
|
|
Interpret mass lesions in the spinal cord and its
differential diagnosis; |
|
|
Interpret mass lesions in the brain and its
differential diagnosis; |
|
|
Interpret MR findings in spinal cord trauma and
toxic diseases; |
|
|
Describe post-treatment changes in brain tumors;
|
|
|
Describe the microstructure of brain lesions; and |
|
|
Implement high field brain tumor imaging. |

DESCRIPTION |

This
course is designed for neuroradiologists, pediatric
radiologists, general radiologists, neurologists,
neurosurgeons, MR technologists, physicists and engineers
who work with spine and brain tumor imaging. A clinical
background will be helpful. |
