OVERVIEW | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This two-hour course focuses on evaluation of the structure and function of the respiratory system with MRI. State-of-the-art approaches for evaluating pulmonary perfusion and upper-airway function will be described. In addition, two evolving methods will be highlighted: ultra-short echo time MRI for improved assessment of lung parenchyma, and hyperpolarized noble-gas MRI for providing functional and structural insights not available from other medical-imaging modalities. All lectures feature didactic-interactive lectures using audience response technology.
TARGET AUDIENCE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This course is aimed at radiologists, imaging scientists and MR technologist who wish to review the state-of-art for evaluating the upper airways and lung using MRI, and to learn about developing pulmonary-imaging techniques that are likely to impact clinical practice in the near future.
