Joint Annual Meeting ISMRM-ESMRMB 2014 10-16 May 2014 Milan, Italy

SUNRISE EDUCATIONAL COURSE
CNS Connectivity: The MR Connectome
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced
ORGANIZERS: Pratik Mukherjee, M.D., Ph.D. & Jeffrey J. Neil, M.D., Ph.D.
Tuesday, 13 May 2014

OVERVIEW
This session will provide an overview of the connectome, a comprehensive representation of the neural network of the brain. Basic concepts, goals of the connectome project, and advanced MRI methods being applied to this area will be discussed.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Biologists, neuroscientists, physicians, physicists, and engineers interested in a comprehensive review of the connectome.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Assess the neurobiologic substrates and complexity of the connectome; and
  • Modify or utilize methods for constructing and studying MR connectomes.
