Joint Annual Meeting ISMRM-ESMRMB 2014 10-16 May 2014 Milan, Italy

WEEKDAY EDUCATIONAL COURSE
Cardiovascular MRI at 3T & Beyond
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced
ORGANIZERS: Daniel B. Ennis, Ph.D. & Victor A. Ferrari, M.D.
Thursday, 15 May 2014

OVERVIEW
This six-hours course over three days will present cardiovascular MRI beyond the established protocols for cardiac and vascular MRI as well as imaging at higher field strength.

The Thursday session will cover cardiovascular MRI at magnetic fields higher than 1.5T including all advantages, drawbacks and hurdles to overcome.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This 3-part coursed is designed to appeal to researchers and clinicians with at least basic knowledge in cardiac MRI. The content of the course is appropriate for radiologists, cardiologists and basic researchers.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize dedicated safety issues at high field strength;
  • Appraise ultra high field imaging for CV MRI; and
  • Solve challenges at 3T and above.
