OVERVIEW
This two-hour course focuses on the state of the art diffusion weighted MRI methods for applications in the body. Pitfalls and challenges of diffusion weighted imaging specific to the body will be reviewed, as well as important clinical applications in the liver, abdomen and pelvis, and whole body. All presentations feature didactic–interactive lectures using audience response technology.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is aimed at clinicians, imaging scientists and MR technologists interested in the challenges and application of diffusion weighted MRI for diseases of the liver, abdomen, pelvis, and whole body.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the clinical applications of DWI in the liver, abdomen, pelvis and whole body; and
  • Compensate for the main challenges and pitfalls of diffusion weighted imaging in the body.
