Overview


Target Audience
Radiographers, technologists, radiologists, scientists, and anyone who can benefit from additional MR physics instruction.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Explain how SAR and heating are consequences of induction;
- Describe the nature and properties of the radiofrequency B1 field in MRI;
- Show how to control SAR by changing pulse sequence parameters;
- Recognize the relative heating of tissue and metallic implants and leads; and
- Explain how to reduce the risk of skin burns in MRI.
