Overview

PLENARY
This session will discuss successes and challenges of translational research and how to implement research techniques into the clinic that are valuable for patients.

KEYNOTE
This session will describe how MR spectroscopy has been successfully implemented in studies involving neurological diseases, infections, and cancer.

Target Audience

PLENARY
Radiographers, technologists, radiologists, clinicians, scientists, and anyone interested in translational research.

KEYNOTE
Radiographers, technologists, radiologists, clinicians, scientists, and anyone interested in MR spectroscopy in different diseases.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:

PLENARY
- Discuss how to overcome challenges in translational research;
- Describe key points when implementing research techniques into the clinic; and
- Explain how to determine meaningful outcomes for patients.

KEYNOTE
- Describe clinical applications of MR spectroscopy;
- Explain how to optimize and implement MRS in different clinical settings; and
- Describe different MRS techniques used in neurological diseases versus infections versus cancers.
