Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Explain the anatomy and pathology of the female genital tract;
• Apply MR imaging to common gynecologic and obstetric problems;
• Describe current modalities used to image the female pelvis, particularly the use of MRI for the evaluation of congenital anomalies benign diseases of the uterus, and in pretreatment assessment of uterine cancer;
• Appraise the use of MRI as a problem-solving modality after inconclusive sonography in the characterization of ovarian lesions;
• Identify the clinically relevant uses of MRI in obstetrics.
