Dora Grauballe, Research Radiographer
Research Radiographer, Center for Functionally Intergrative Neuroscience (CFIN), Aarhus, Denmark

I have been working as a Research Radiographer for more than 15 years. The last 13 years I have been focusing on brain research - DTI, Perfusion, Kurtosis, fMRI - on numerous of different patient groups eg. Alzheimer, Depression, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Glioma, Diabetes type 2 and many others.

Currently I am a serving as Board member on the SMRT Policy Board. I served as Abstract Committee Chair for the meeting in Hawaii in 2017, and as Program Chair for the meeting in Paris in 2018. I am currently servicing as Chair for the Education Committee. It is a fantastic experience to be involved in an international society and getting the possibilities to meet a lot of enthusiastic and knowledgeable people within the MR community.

For the last 4 years I have also been involved in DSMMR (Dansk Selskab for Medicinsk Magnetisk Resonance). I am serving as secretary and involved in arranging our yearly one- or two day meeting for members of the society.

My motivation for involving me in the Nordic Chapter is mainly based on the idea that it is important for the Nordic countries to be present at both the SMRT and ISMRM meetings, and to get and motivate Nordic MR users to become Board members. It is very important that The Nordic Chapter arranges interesting local meetings for MR users with different educational background and level of experience.
