International SMRT Annual Meeting Live Streaming

  James Stuppino, B.S., R.T. (R)(MR)
SMRT President Elect 2015-2016

The SMRT has been evaluating ways, for a long time, to help technologists and radiographers continue to acquire their credits and education in an affordable way. Along with extensive insurance reimbursement cuts, reductions in staff, salary and benefit cuts, came the loss of employers reimbursing for staff education and especially travel for meetings outside of the local area.

To help achieve this goal, the SMRT is introducing its Virtual Meeting at the 25th Annual meeting in Singapore. Streaming Video will allow you the opportunity to sit in the comfort of your own home or enjoy getting together with other colleagues to watch the 2016 Annual Meeting live. It will also offer the opportunity to participate in the meeting as if you were actually there; provide the ability to ask questions of the speakers, and chat live with others taking part in the Virtual Meeting. Because you will be viewing the meeting live and your participation will be verified electronically, there will be no need to take a post-test to obtain credits. If you register for the Virtual Meeting and the timing of the live event isn’t convenient for you, you will still be allowed to receive credits by watching post meeting videos and complete a post test for credit hours. Registration for the Virtual Meeting will be opening soon so be sure to check our website at www.smrt.org for updated information. If multiple technologists and radiographers choose to view the meeting as a group, everyone will need to register for the event in order for all to receive credits.

We certainly hope you will join us and be part of this ground breaking experience.
