Bienvenue \u00e0 Paris!<\/p>\n

As Chair of the Annual Meeting Program Committee (AMPC) it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2018 SMRT Annual Meeting. The theme for the meeting will be \u201cBringing New Technologies into MRI and Catching Up on Forgotten MR Knowledge\u201d. The aim will be to introduce technologies that are, and will become, a part of daily practice working with MR, and to serve as an update on other MR Technologies.<\/p>\n

The 27th SMRT Annual Meeting will be held in the beautiful capital of France, Paris, known to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Paris is famous for attractions like the Eifel Tower, Notre Dame, Le Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe de l\u2019\u00c9toile and many other interesting sites and places which we hope you will have a chance to enjoy.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be held in the newly renovated Paris Expo Porte de Versailles Convention Center from the 15th to 18th June 2018.<\/p>\n

Starting with the Research and Clinical Poster presentations on Friday, 15th at 17:00, attendees will enjoy a light reception while learning about the latest in MR research. Congratulations to all the participants presenting their work Friday evening. We are grateful that so many are supporting the SMRT and thereby have the option and honor to share knowledge with colleagues on Friday evening and throughout the meeting. Friday evening will also include the ceremony for all SMRT Educational Award recipients. Special congratulations go to all the award winners: Rebecca Glarin, Ingrid Op\u2019t Hof, Sara Na, Ben Kennedy, Petronella Samuels, Rachelle Meissner and Mark Smith, Hiroyuki Takashima, Erin Gray, Huijun ‘Vicky\u2019 Liao, Kristina Pelkola, Alicia Scully, Jennifer Croll, and Kevin Epperson.<\/p>\n

Saturday morning will begin with a very exciting plenary session with presentations from Michael P. Recht, M.D. and Kim Mouridsen, Ph.D. on \u201cMachine Learning\u201d followed by a discussion with the two speakers. The committee\u2019s aim has been to include a broad variation of topics ranging from MR Spectroscopy, Basic to Advanced Physics, MSK Imaging, Future of MRI, Diffusion\/Perfusion\/ QSM, Cardiac Imaging to Paediatric Imaging. Furthermore, there will be two other highly recommended sessions with three speakers in each followed by panel discussions, namely a session on MR safety and one on Contrast Agents.<\/p>\n

On Saturday evening the 16th of June we invite you to join us for a special Welcome Reception which will take place from 19:30 to 23:30. We will be sailing down the river Seine while the sun sets over Paris and experiencing the night taking over the city life. Please join this unique opportunity to talk and have fun with other great people from the SMRT community. Attendance to the Saturday night reception is included with your registration for all 3 day and 4 day SMRT meeting registrants and invited speakers.<\/p>\n
