The nearest airport to the Baluarte Conference Centre is Pamplona Airport (PNA), which is about 7 km southeast (about a 15-minute drive). ISMRM recommends that international attendees fly to Madrid (Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas – MAD) and then take a domestic flight to PNA. Currently, there are no direct flights from Barcelona to PNA.

The nearest international airport is Bilbao Airport (BIO), which is 160 km away from the venue.

From Madrid to Pamploma:

• The train ride takes around 4 hours.
• Trains depart frequently, for example on a Friday (schedules for March 2025 are not yet available), departures are at 7:35, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:05, 14:05, 16:30, 17:35, 18:05, and 19:35.
• To get from Madrid-Barajas Airport to Atocha Train Station, you can take a taxi (around 16 minutes) or take the Metro(line 8 to line 1), which takes a little over an hour.

From Barcelona to Pamploma:

• The train also takes about 4 hours.
• Trains depart (for example on a Friday - schedules for March 2025 are not yet available), departures are at 9:00, 11:00, 14:32, 15:00, 16:38, and 17:00.
• To get from Barcelona El Prat Airport to Sants Train Station, the best option is to take a direct Cercanías train (every 30 minutes), which takes around 19 minutes.

From PNA Airport
The bus line that used to go from PNA airport to Pamplona city center is no longer in service, so taking a taxi from PNA Airport or renting a car are the best options. However, there are many bus lines throughout Pamplona that pass near the Baluarte Conference Centre:

From BIO Airport
Attendees flying in to Bilbao can take a bus to Pamplona. Including transfers, it will take around 3 to 3 ½ hours. Different bus routes can be found here.

Intercity Bus Service
Pamplona offers bus connections through various different operators and routes. Please refer to the following website for more information about arriving via bus: https://www.estaciondeautobusesdepamplona.com/

A taxi stand is located on Floor 0 at the PNA passenger terminal. Fares are based on meter rates. Under normal driving conditions, the approximate fare to Baluarte is between €20-25. Tele Taxi San Fermín is the main taxi company that operates out of PNA and their contact information can be found here. Their taxi stand locations can be viewed here.

NOTE: There is a taxi stand at the airport, the bus station and outside hotels. However, if you need a cab from any other place, you need to call: +34 948232300 or +34 948351335. Taxis do not stop in the street. You must go to a taxi stand or call for one.
