Airport

There are three airports attendees can fly into for the workshop. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is approximately 11 miles/18 km away from the Children's National Research and Innovation Campus. Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 32 miles/51 km away, and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is about 34 miles/58 km away.

Public Transportation

Bus

Attendees can take the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrobus. The S2 Line goes to the Alaska Av NW & Fern St NW stop, which is a 1-minute walk from the venue.

Metro/Train

Alternatively, attendees can take the Metro train. The Children’s National Hospital offers free shuttle service from The Union, Columbia Heights, and Brookland/CUA metro stations. Note that the shuttle offers more departure times from the Brookland station than the other stations, but the Union station is the closest station in proximity to the venue. From Union station, attendees can also take the WMATA red line Metro toward Glenmont to the Takoma station, which is east of the venue. It is one mile away and is about a 24-minute walk or a 5-minute drive.

Children's Metro Shuttle Service

The Children’s National Hospital offers a free shuttle service to visitors.

  1. Runs regularly between the hospital and the Brookland/CUA Metro station
  2. Runs between the hospital and the Union Metro Station
  3. Operates Monday-Friday
  4. Does not operate on weekends or holidays
  5. All shuttles pick up and drop off passengers at the P1 Entryway

Please note the main campus parking garage is undergoing renovations and attendees should allow extra time for parking.

The maximum daily rate/ 3+ hour parking is US$16.00. Please note ISMRM does not validate parking, nor is responsible for parking costs of attendees; attendees are to cover any parking fees at their own cost.
